Over much time there can be injury in our lives. Healing was essential to the gospel of Jesus. He was sent to heal the wounded and ill. He was sent to heal the sinner. He was sent to save the lost.
Injury and illness have physical manifestations often with emotional and spiritual dimensions. Healing is needed on all levels.
St. Bernadette will be offering a Healing process on four Mondays at 7pm Feb. 20, 27, March 5 and 12th. All four sessions are important to this process. This is an opportunity for us to honor the suffering of our life; come to see it better; offer it to God; and receive the Healing that only God can effect.
Our process does not require anyone to reveal or even speak about their suffering or injury. The process will be guided by Jim Shields and myself. We will be concluding with a prayer ceremony in which we will offer to God our desire for healing and pray for healing for others. We are confident that God will give us what we need. The sacrament of anointing will be available.
Consider coming even if the suffering is from long ago. May St. Bernadette our Patron intercede for us for the healing that allows us to serve our purpose on earth as God wills.
In order to help us prepare, if you could call my number 815-3107 and leave a message that you are coming it would help but is not necessary.
Blessings,
Fr. Terry
